I am blessed to live on the South Wales coast, a place full of life, light and mischief. My artwork is underpinned by a strong interest in drawing – both from imagination and observation.
As a painter, I often work outside, developing small pieces that can be resolved in one or two sessions. Larger, more complex works are done in the studio over a longer time frame. Alongside the painting, lino printing and ink/watercolour illustrations allow me to express ideas in a more graphic way.
I have been awarded prizes for ‘plein air’ painting, including the ‘Street Life’ Competition’ (Neath), Art in the City (Gloucester) and Pintar Rápido. (London). My work is held in a number of private collections.
